Permissions and confirmation
Report and schedule actions request separate permissions. A read-only connection cannot generate reports. Each write first returns normalized settings; confirm countries, window, quality, time, timezone and channels before it proceeds. Retries reuse the same request key and cannot consume allowance twice. Reports and scheduling are rolling out; the assistant shows actual availability before acting.
Generated reports use the same report allowances and spending safeguards as the website. Prepared briefs do not use a generation allowance. Reports cover the existing ten report countries within your account permissions. Current data is available for 44 countries; advanced history depends on prepared coverage and account access.
Automate reports
Native schedules
Ask: “Schedule a weekday 7:00 America/Toronto daily country report for Canada, delivered by email.” Review and confirm the settings. The selected time starts generation; delivery follows when verification succeeds. Choose email, WhatsApp or in-app explicitly. WhatsApp requires eligible paid access, a verified connection, approved templates and available spending allowance. Selecting WhatsApp alone never selects email.
Native schedules run on 48HrsTrends independently of your assistant. Disconnecting the connector revokes assistant access; pause or remove native schedules separately in your account. Existing saved times and paused reports are preserved.
Claude Cowork examples
Cowork scheduling and external connectors depend on your Claude account and permissions. For unattended generation, confirm a native schedule once; then let a scheduled Cowork task read its completed reports. External saving, email and Slack posting use your separately authorized connectors.
- Schedule Canada/US daily generation natively. Then: “Every weekday at 8:00, use 48HrsTrends to find the latest ready Canada/US daily report. Save it to my Google Drive folder Trends and post its executive summary in Slack #news-desk. Do not generate a second report or post an incomplete one.”
- “Every Monday at 9:15, find the completed weekly US/UK Tech & AI report from my confirmed native schedule and email me its private link using my connected email tool.” Enable only the email route you intend to use.
- “Every morning, get Australian coverage comparisons and draft three LinkedIn ideas from the returned sources. Do not publish, predict an opportunity or invent missing explanations.”
If an assistant requires approval for each write, a scheduled task must not bypass that approval. Use native generation plus read-only retrieval instead.
Reports and sharing
Finished reports include numbered sources and matching screen, Word and PDF content. Links are private. To share externally, open the report and explicitly create an expiring, revocable read-only link.
Measurement and limitations
Search figures describe Google’s reported trending period, normally 48 hours. The 24-hour, 48-hour and seven-day options describe observation/reporting windows, not exact search totals. Repeated checks and country volumes are never added. Low tracked coverage does not prove a story is unreported. Unvalidated predictions, timing labels and opportunity scores remain unavailable.
Troubleshooting
If a new action requests permission, reconnect and approve only the permissions you want. For stale or sparse data, try a broader category or wait for publication; timestamps remain genuine. Existing tool names remain compatible for at least 30 days. Revoke access in Connected AI tools and manage native schedules in Account.
