Search and news research for agencies

Build a traceable client brief, then choose the output
Keep a clear record of whose search audience you are investigating and which subject the client asked about. These can differ: a Canadian trend may concern an event elsewhere. Save the topic’s canonical address and observation date with your research notes.
A practical evidence check
Compare approved reporting, attribution and the wording of the query before drafting. Group only confirmed events; similar headlines or a shared tournament do not establish that two queries describe the same story. Record missing or contradictory evidence rather than smoothing it away.
Choose the right output
Use a Content Kit for one story and a Research Report for a broader client question. Review source citations before distributing an export. Schedules require explicit delivery choices and account permissions; selecting WhatsApp must never silently subscribe a client to email.
