A Google Trends companion for news and content research

When you need reporting, recorded history or checked writing alongside a trending search, choose a workflow based on the evidence.

Keep Google Trends as the original source

Use Google Trends directly to explore search patterns and inspect the original Trending now view. 48HrsTrends is independent of Google and does not replace the source’s definitions. Our collection target is about every 15 minutes in ten countries and hourly elsewhere; each page shows its actual collection time.

Add the context you need

For a topical story, start with the country’s free results and open the topic page. Review the approved publisher links, any reviewed explanation and the recorded search history. For longer-term discovery, inspect the relevant product documentation of tools such as Exploding Topics or Glimpse. Avoid comparing a search index, estimated keyword volume and a reported Trending now range as if they were identical counts.

Choose an output after checking evidence

Use a Content Kit for writing about one selected trend or a Research Report for a broader subject. Generation depends on relevant evidence and existing allowances. A topic may be interesting yet lack enough support for a checked output. Missing monitored reporting is a limitation of what we track, not proof that nobody has covered it.
